The Orchard Tea Gardens
Grantchester, Cambridge

Is this possibly the most ‘Cambridge’ film? It was a dream to pair such a fantastic film set in our home town in an iconic Cambridge location.

We had the very lovely ladies of Warm & Toastie serving delicious and belly-warming toasties from their street food van.  What a lovely evening of street food, popcorn, drinks and live music from local musician Warren Daniel.

“There should be no boundaries to human endeavor. We are all different. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there’s life, there is hope.” Stephen Hawking

Cambridge filmmaker Robyn Wilton is selecting the independent short films that we show before each of the features at our events this summer at The Orchards.  We showed independent short film Cult Party “Kiss (Two)” directed by Patrick Taylor.  It is a short film premiered by NOWNESS and communicates themes of anxiety, frustration and communication through the medium of dance.  We hope everyone enjoyed this fantastic short, it was such a pleasure to screen such a beautiful piece of art before The Theory of Everything.

Thank you to all who joined us for a magical evening of cinema under the stars.  We hope to see you again soon.

Big love from Team EC x
