Friday night was the start of a triple bill of screenings at The Gonville Hotel. We began, in the beautiful sunshine, with the Oscar winning Three Billboards: Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The sun was shining down on all of us as the guests started to arrive, bottles of fizz were popping as well as the specially made cocktails by The Gonville Hotel, and there was beautiful live music from the incredibly talented Rob Godfrey

As the sun set behind the screen, everyone took to their seats and relaxed into their comfy deckchairs with blankets and popcorn.

What a showcase it was, with stunning performances from Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell which won them both an Oscar.

On Saturday we showed the classic musical Grease under the stars at The Gonvillle hotel in the heart of Cambridge.

And what a beautiful evening we had, the sun was shining down on us as the guests arrived, wonderful cocktails and fizz was flowing as the amazingly talented Alice O’Brien got everyone in the mood for a night of singing and dancing.

Then as the sun was setting it was time for the main event. And what a show it was, there were some fantastic dance moves going on and great singers alike

Grease is always a favourite of Team ECs and we can’t wait to show it again in the future.

On Sunday we showed the 80s cult classic Back to the Future in the gardens of the beautiful Gonville Hotel in the heart of Cambridge.

Enchanted Cinema is back for its 4th year of inner city cinematic magic. These guys are all about creating an original and vibrant cinema scene that offers an exciting way to watch a great film. Expect to be wowed by a short film before each screening, magical light installations and live music from local artists. Velvet curtains will be pulled back at the time of the allocated screening, and the arena will open to Enchanted Cinema ticket holders. These events are turning into the most magical of the summer.

We then had the amazing musician Josh Aitken who sang some absolute classics to get everyone in the mood for our main event.

Enchanted Cinema 2018 Summer Season was taken to the beautiful 1815 bar which is part of the historical Cambridge Union in the heart of Cambridge, in which we showed the Tarantino classic Pulp Fiction.

The sell out audience brushed off the rain to watch the ultimate Tarantino cult classic that is a favourite of Team EC,

We had amazing Thai Street food From Simply Thai and the drinks were flowing as the audience sat for the night of magical cinema under the stars.

Our Sunday showing of our 2018 Summer Season was the multi Oscar winning The Shape of Water in the magical gardens of the Gonville Hotel.

Another evening of beautiful weather for outdoor cinema, the sun was shining as everyone arrived. Guests were treated to the amazing food at the Gonville hotel, as well as our amazing freshly popped popcorn.

Before the main event, we had more amazing live music, this time with Francaise Botcherby singing for our audience, and how amazing he was.

It was then time for the main event, The Shape of Water. And what a perfect fairytale for a magical evening like this. It couldn’t get more enchanting with this up on the big screen, under the stars.

Enchanted Cinema’s 2018 Summer Season returned for the first time this summer to the truly beautiful and enchanting gardens of the Gonville Hotel with the ’80’s classic, Dirty Dancing.

And what a stunning day it was for some outdoor cinema, with the sun shining, popcorn popping and so were the bottles of fizz. There was also beautiful food put on by the Gonville which had us drooling and going back for more and more,

There was live music from the incredible Simon Day and a beautiful short film before the main event, Dirty Dancing.

The sun was setting as Dirty Dancing started, there were some great moments of everyone singing along at the top of the their voices, some great dance moves, laughing and so many smiles.
